Shadow The Hedgehog With Gun
Shadow the Hedgehog is a platforming game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. Aside from being able to play as robotic versions of Shadow with guns for arms, it is a worthless and forgettable version of Sonic Heroes' deathmatch mode. Redeeming Qualities. Shadow by himself is a good character and gets plenty of character development. Just an old dub I had at the side. In order to really get this in ways. You have to play the game. Really no matter who you help they still turn on your ass and that piss shadow off. Shadow the hedgehog as a gun! 15 player public game completed on April 14th, 2019 57 0 20 hrs. Shadow the hedgehog as a gun! Bleepy bloopy.

The game is the first (and to date only) to feature Shadow the Hedgehog from Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series as the main character. After the events of, Shadow suffers from amnesia, being unable to remember anything but his name and a memory involving a young girl named Maria.
As he ponders about his past, the World is suddenly attacked by aliens. Their leader, Black Doom, approaches Shadow and asks him to bring the Chaos Emeralds 'as promised'. Surprised that Black Doom knew him, Shadow decides that the Emeralds are the key to unlocking his past and purpose, and sets off.The game includes 10 endings based on what path the player takes, along with a Last Story, which is unlocked after getting all other endings. Many series known for being cartoony can succeed in having darker or more serious games, like the or series, and many others, but this game failed at that. It can take itself WAY too seriously, as an awkward attempt at trying to be darker and edgy with guns and even swearing (mostly excessive use of 'damn,' with Shadow's demand of where the DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald is being one of the most mocked lines in the game), which backfired due to the game being toned down for an E10+ rating shortly after its implementation, despite originally aiming for a T rating. This has led to it becoming a butt of jokes whenever someone or something intentionally tries very hard to be edgy. It's worth mentioning that the game was meant to be even darker.
Human enemies originally bled, alien blood was red, and characters would swear more. This last point is most evident in the story's opening cutscene when the subtitles and voice acting say ' Just what was that all about?' , yet Shadow (lip sync) says ' What the hell was that all about?' . Moments in this story are also way too dark for Sonic standards:. In the story's opening, Maria, a young girl who is Shadow's only friend, is shot.
In both Neutral endings, Shadow kills Eggman. However, due to the Last Story, neither of those endings are canon. Also, in one of the Dark endings, Shadow kills Sonic. Speaking of the weapons, some of them actually came from real life.
Some examples include, Colt M1911A1 (from the intro and some of the but it was not featured in the game), USP and SG550. The level design ranges from boring and ugly (most of the levels) to huge, confusing, and maze-like (the only three stages that are maze-like are the Doom, Central City, and Lost Impact). It should be noted that Central City, aside from being maze-like, is the only stage in the entire game without a Goal Ring. Slippery controls. The story is uninteresting, poorly-developed, and inconsistent.
The story also has plenty of plot holes. For example, the G.U.N. Commander reveals that he was aboard the ARK when he was little and Maria was like a family to him, and he blamed Shadow for her death, when it was G.U.N.
Who killed Maria. How did he become the commander of an army who killed his best friend in the first place?. The voice acting for Rouge and most of the human characters is very dull, Charmy's was kind of annoying, and Jason Griffith's performance as Sonic was good, but a few of his deliveries sounded bland. Shadow by himself is a good character and gets plenty of character development. Black Doom (while bland and out of place) is an entertaining villain. Despite the game's 'darker' tone, there are some funny moments, usually unintentional due to the poor writing or awkward animations. The few decent levels in the game include Digital Circuit which is a Tron-esque cyber world, and any of the levels in which you do platforming with the bipedal mech, for example Sky Troops.
The others characters' voice acting is good. Doctor Eggman is a highlight, voiced by Mike Pollock who remains as his voice actor even after, which introduced an entirely new voice cast, was released in 2010. Dan Green (Knuckles), Sean Schemmel (Black Doom), and Jason Griffith (as Shadow) are also great. While pointless, some of the weapons are still fun to use. The game's CG cutscenes are, at least visually, of very high quality similar to a film. The music is pretty good, despite its heavy use of hard, grungy rock. The game has decent replay value.
This game has spawned 2 hilarious memes: The infamous ' and '. The rail grinding is a major improvement over Sonic Heroes. Shadow the Hedgehog received generally mixed to negative reviews from critics.
I was really psyched for this game. Ever since I can remember I've been a Sonic Fan, and of course I bought my GC Soley for SA2 Battle (Other games have come along of course) So what can I say about this game. On the Plus Side the story is fantastic. So many different endings you can chose from, so many paths to take, it's confusing which one to chose first. Good bad normal, whew! Not to mention the agonizing question 'WHO THE HECK IS SHADOW?' After all he burst-ed on to the scene in SA2, as the ultimate Evil Carbon Copy Twin, with no absolute answerers.
Including the end to SA2. (before him there was METAL) The darker story really makes it different from most Sonic games Another Plus, the variety of weapons. This raised some controversy amongst SONIC Fans. Even I was a little unsure. You know worried 'Are they really making this as a Sonic Team Game, or are they just trying to jump on the HALO Band wagon.
Fortunatley they didn't go overboard with the weapon use (although it is easier to use them) no blood gore, any of that nonsense. No first person shooting game style. So that was good. With Vocing, my deepest concern. First off with a character driven game like Shadow, VOICES DO MATTER.
With a plain shooting game like 007 they don't. When I heard they fired the far more superior cast with the crappy Sonic X cast, who can't act. Fortunatley they actually acted. Jasson Griffiths who voiced both Sonic and Shadow actually did very fine with their voices. I was nearly fooled into thinking 'maybe they didn't replace them after all.'
Despite Knuckles sounding like a 70 year old constipated man, and Yugi Moto the voicing was far better than expected. Music wise this has a new array of songs and music lead by the talented composer Jun Senoue, (?sp) and featuring the bands of Jullian K, Crush 40, and many more. The level music is catchy, and does bring up old Sonic Compostions of the past. Now on the Miss Side, the controls can be a bit overwhelming for new players. Homing Attack can lead you right off the edge of a cliff if not careful. And the Triangle Jumps are a nightmare. And the Camera Controls aren't as decent as they should be.
It's easy to lose sight of your character in a tricky areas, or to have a blind spot on enemy attacks. The Audio/Visual Sync can be over done or out of place. Some sounds drown out characters voices while giving instructions, and characters can interrupt instructions as well. Plus Music is often drowned out by the presence of sound effects. Fortunatley this is usually only in stages, and not in the Cinematics.
With the Cinematics there are constant loading screens between cut scenes which really slow the story down. Although there is a variety of weapons to chose from, many of them especially the RPG's have very poor accuracy, which can make long range shooting difficult, in difficult areas. Overall I really like this game, it was fun and enjoyable, I still have YET to beat the VERY Final Boss. This game was not a disappointment for me, I liked it, and it earns a solid 8 from me.
Shadow the Hedgehog takes place after Sonic Heroes and before Sonic Battle, only its one of the best video games in Sonic's entire history! Choosing to battle the demon-like alien Black Doom and his hellish army of aliens theor G.U.N and their military robots and soldiers even against Eggman and his robots and Shadow Androids, another added feature is the good or evil chooses in each stage which leads to another and yet deadlier envioment. Often characters may ask you to help with even the DUMBEST missions (collect rings from Eggman's amusement park for example) But it makes up with you getting deeper into Shadow's seemly unknown past. The overall gameplay I'm going to give is 8 out of 10. There are some minor problems of using the homing attack and then accidentally fall to you death and this is the first I witnessed when a Sonic game uses the word 'Damn' more often in a kids' game, hence the rating: (E 10+: Everyone Age 10 and Up) especially when Shadow loses a life. I heard that majority of the voice actors for this game are mostly the same actors from Sonic X or 4 Kids Entertainment.
I kind of missed the original actors who played the previous voices of Sonic The Hedgehog and Shadow The Hedgehog from the previous games: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Battle and no offense, the one of played as Rouge The Bat, (Kathleen Delaney, last I checked), it kind of makes Rouge's voice sounds older like somewhat in the late 20s-40s and personally, I would prefer the one who played Rouge's voice before (Lani Minella) from the other previous Sonic games instead. I love this game it made and one of my sister's best I am going to get it from the library maybe I command that it is suppose to be for eight year old's or something I really like this game and I want it rate E for everyone but some of the parts are a bit confusing anyway, I wish it could have the blast video I can't wait top see what happens next because i'm also going to get Sonic the hedgehog from the library I always really hate Charmy I hope the Chaotix are not in Sonic the hedgehog because it makes me want to throw my digital camera at them shadow is so AWESOME! I can't wait ti'll I get XBox 360 off of amazon. For no good video game and about to sell my Nintendo 64 (IT SUCKS NOW!).
If you've played sonic Games for a while, Chances are you know of a little game called, Shadow The Hedgehog. There are many problems with this game, Such as: Bad Voice acting, Clunky Movment, Partialy Broken Controls, Bad frame Rate, Stupid AI, ETC. Now, The game is and does have a good side, but the game Does get REALLY Repetitive (Especially on PS2 and Xbox) after about one time threw the Story of the game. Overall, If you like sonic and Want to play a Sonic game that is dark, has guns, has Swearing and has a lot of Shadow the Hedgehog, Then go rent the game! I grew up playing many sonic games, both 2D and 3D. Almost every 2D Sonic game is fantastic, while there are some hits and misses with 3D Sonic games, but they're fantastic when they're great. This game has some of the fundamentals that made the great 3D Sonic games so great, while having a lot of things wrong with it.
The gameplay in this game is pretty good, just like it was in Sonic Heroes, the level design can be good at times, but bland for the most part, the soundtrack is pretty awesome as it's more heavy, the visuals are pretty good, and the premise of this game seems genius, as it's essentially where you get to choose whether or not Shadow is a villain or a hero. There's more on that, but I'll get into that in a little bit. The story is extremely unfocused and convoluted.
It first becomes about how aliens fall out of the sky and how one big alien (I forget its name, but then again, does it matter?) needs the emeralds from Shadow and how the President of GUN wants him and how he has amnesia and is trying to figure out who he is while having flashbacks of a girl named Maria. The story is a complete and udder mess and I feel like the writers didn't agree on one specific story so they just fused it into one confusing mess that's barely focusable. Anyways, you get through this game by playing everything over and over for each of the possible endings to get the true ending, WHICH COMPLETELY NULLIFIES WHAT THE PLAYER WANTED SHADOW TO BE!!! This means that REGARDLESS of whether or not you want Shadow to be a villain or hero, your decision will not affect the true ending and would make the whole play through completely meaningless! This is easily the worst part of the game, as it takes the whole premise it went with earlier and smashes it into millions of pieces which makes this game completely pointless. This sucks, because with the decent gameplay and an originally good premise, this game could've been great if it had more effort put into it, but it's just a big fat waste of time. I recommend everyone to just not worry about this game, as there are much better games than this, as this is an overall pointless game with wasted potential.
I am a big fan of Shadow and so I find this game kind of interesting but it's also rife with big problems that makes it not one of my favorite games. I remember watching Shadow the Hedgehog on Youtube, I saw a commercial for it in like 2005 and a year later, I checked out the last story where Shadow confronts Black Doom and becomes Super Shadow. That's when I was smitten with him, his earnest personality, his voice, and emotional pain had him one of my favorite Sonic characters ever. So, at least this game caused me to first fall in love with Shadow, before, I had no opinion of him.
Story: There are different routes to go in this game so you can make Shadow evil, a hero, against his evil creator Eggman, an emo hedgehog who's guilty for his actions, etc. It's a bit of a mess. It was canon that Shadow was a good person who was mad at the world and wanted revenge for some perceived injustice.
He has a dark past which caused him to be this way but it doesn't make him a bad person. So, He's an aloof character, I don't imagine he's the type of person that would care about anybody except for Maria. I don't mind him wanting to discover who he is since most kids his age would want to find out who they are anyway. They tried to make the villains creative, but I don't like the alien idea.
Character: Why make Shadow curse, use guns, shoot people, and become evil and on the aliens' side if the player wants him? And also, it is implied he contemplated suicide in one of the paths and thinks insecure, hateful thoughts about himself. Even Sonic curses and depending on who's side you are on, if you are doing something opposite (and for few characters, destroying Eggman's robots), they will tell you to stop and it gets annoying.
I mean, all this time, Sonic and the others wanted to defeat Eggman and now they don't care neither. This is a kids franchise, I don't understand why Sonic would go that route. Controls: The controls are very slippery. Moving Shadow around the whole game is a chore. Overall: A pretty forgettable, though funny Sonic game. The backstories were unnecessary, Maria is a flat character and it makes me think a game about Shadow and his past may not be the best thing to do.
Shadow The Hedgehog With Guns Badass Wallpaper
A better game probably would've been Sonic Adventure 3 or something. Kids may see it differently, but teenagers 15 and older would probably find it too annoying to be particularly memorable.
Shadow fans and video game fans like myself might find the game relatively enjoyable, though. I'm not just saying that either. This game does so much wrong in so many areas that not only does it fail as a Sonic game, but it fails as a game in general. Pros +Interesting idea for branching areas/paths in the story +The FMV cutscenes look amazing +Some of the music is alright +Still feels like a complete game unlike '06 or Boom +Some laughter can be had when you're not being frustrated at everything in the game Cons -Mediocre to bad voice acting -Bad graphics and horrible lighting -Bad story filled with plot holes -Bad controls -Badly implemented mission goals (especially the 'find/destroy X number of things' missions).
There's also weird consistency issues with who's 'good' or 'bad' in a level, especially levels with Eggman. Everyone will attack you either way.Low emphasis on speed in most missions to the point where going fast will hinder you -Bad level design -The cursing, gun violence, and vehicles feel shoehorned into the game at best -Bosses are poorly done (the Eggman boss relies almost entirely on luck, for example) -None of the endings really matter since there's a.True Ending.
that makes any other endings completely null, turning them into 'What Ifs' at best Recommended to: 13-16 year olds who need some angsty video games with cheesy stories; Extreme Sonic fans I guess? I really am amazed this has as much praise as it does, but that's just me I guess. Ironically I think this game had a lot of work put into it in regards with being 3-D. Jareel White did a good job voicing him as a rough guy including Sonic. I'd say learning lines from two characters ain't easy! I'm glad we finally found out Shadow was created by Eggman's grandfather Professor Gerald Robotnik.
I actually forgot Shadow did forget who he was but somehow I knew he would be involved with Eggman since I was playing the game 'Sonic Heroes' years ago! What I didn't like about this video game was Shadow kept saying the same things over and over again for example: 'Finally I got all the 7 emeralds', 'I am Shadow the Hedgehog and this is who I am!' Or his evil laugh. I was just fed up listening to the same stuff he comes out with whenever he achieves a mission, c'mon like he should've said more then that! I also thought Rouges voice was really odd as she sounded like she had too many cigarettes! Can't they have gotten somebody better?? If you're a hardcore sonic fan like myself, check this out!
All right, the title for this comment doesn't mean that's a bad thing. This is not like other Sonic games because it's a Shadow game. The game is made to personify Shadow's character; a confused hedgehog capable of great and terrible things. The game is much darker than others and has a much more involved storyline that finally ties up all the loose ends left in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. Story: The story is a bit out there, even for a Sonic game, but it's still a great one. The story opens up with Shadow trying to remember his past, the only thing he can remember is the gruesome murder of a girl named Maria.
As he contemplates this, the sky is filled with blood-shot clouds as aliens known as the Black Arms literally storm down and start killing and destroying everyone and everything. Laser cannons begin to shoot out from the sky, causing mass destruction.
The leader, Black-Doom, then approaches Shadow and tells him to collect the seven Chaos Emeralds and give them to him as part of a promise made long ago. From there, it's up to you to decide what to do; serve the aliens, help Sonic and Gun, help eggman, or simply collect the emeralds for yourself. Now, this is the basic concept, there is A LOT more going on in this game. The game has 10 different endings and you need to play through them all to understand what Shadow is all about. Once this is done, the final level is opened and this reveals everything from the alien's intentions, to Black-Doom's relation to Shadow, and even mysteries in Sonic Adventure 2 such as why would Gerald create the Eclipse Cannon before he went insane. The story ties everything up nicely and, surprisingly, there are no plot holes.
The only complaint I have is that it is extremely difficult to know what event takes place when as there are so many paths to take (Over 300, no joke). Gameplay: Now the gameplay can either suck or be great depending on which level you're on and which mission you're undertaking. There's really no in between rating for gameplay, it's either great or horrible. The main problem is that even when you have decided which side to serve, characters from opposite sides will randomly show up and tell you to help them even though you decided not to. That and the fact that everyone shoots at you, even the side your helping, making it very hard to make sure that you're serving the side you want to. Lastly, some missions are way too long; some take almost 30 minutes, especially for those who are new to the game.
It's bad because the missions before hand are really short, so you're not expecting the next ones to be so long. Other than that, and I know that's a lot, the gameplay is usually very fun, fast, and action oriented. It can just be VERY frustrating at time, which is why I gave this game an 8. Graphics; FMV are beautiful and are good enough to be mistaken as a fully animated Shadow movie.
The action stages have good graphics, but nothing mind blowing. That's pretty much it.
Shadow The Hedgehog With Gun On His Bike
Music&Voices: The music is great, especially the theme songs. Each one reflect Shadow perfectly. Some are sad while others are Gothic and some are cheerful.
The action stages have very suitable music too and really makes the game that more enjoyable. In terms of voices, there should only be two to care about; Shadow and Black-Doom. I'm happy to say that, at least in my opinion, that both are fantastically done. Griffith does Shadow which concerned me. He's alright as Sonic in this game, acting is good but voice just doesn't fit, but his acting and voice for Shadow are simply top notch.
You can tell he put A LOT of effort in this game. Black-Doom may be even better as this guy gets my vote for best villain since Ganondorf simply on voice. Almost every word from this guy is about the murder and torture of the humans. Great villain and the voice acting has to be heard to be fully appreciated. Other great acting goes to Mike Polluck as Eggman and Gerald Robotnick and the voice acting for the Gun Commander, Maria, and the President are also very well done. So, great game and it is something new and different.
It was enough that game was too slow, and too long. But now, Sega has tarnished Sonic with Jason Griffith, a voice actor of who we all know from the most utter piece of crap I have ever seen, Sonic X.
But I do not even have to stress that. Shadow the Hedgehog is a feeble attempt to get gamers to buy Shadow and think it's cool. The fact of the matter is that it's not cool. It is stupid, repetitive, and just torture to the ears. This game is about Robotic Shadow (from Sonic Heroes), fifty years after the events on Ark (Shadows's past in SA2), in which he must find the Chaos Emeralds and restore his memory. In this game, you basically run around and use the homing attack, or the gun if you choose, and 'mowing' down enemies. Unfortunately, it's more complicated.
Depending on what you do, you can only attack certain enemies, and because this, the game slows down, and gets aggravating quick. Also, there are over 300 different things in this game to earn, but I doubt that people will have the patience. Even though there is replay value, it really does not make a difference. The story is by far the corniest crap I have ever seen. We take a deeper look into 'Shadow's past', and watch it unveil into something greater.
However, I was not particularly interested. I wanted Sonic, not this all but dead character. The graphics have not improved. Although the CG cut scenes are well rendered, they are far from entertaining. They will explain the storyline, but I did not find them enjoyable.
In-game graphics are much like what you would see in Sonic Heroes, despite the fact that Sega claims that there is a new graphics engine. As for the sound, the music will rock you if you are a fan of Crush 40 or sonic in general, but not so much for anyone else. As for the voice acting, don't stress me on that. It was awful, period.
I suppose this is why Nintendo chose not to make Link talk. Now, do not get me wrong, I am a Sonic fan, and I wish I could say better about this game.
But, I am disappointed to say, that I'm giving it 3/10.
