Page Tools.The Champion is a boss found deep within the Catacombs. He is a giant creature with massive blades on his arms that he uses to swipe at you in very close range combat.Champion Phase One During the first phase, the boss has only a few attacks that are worth discussing.
The first is his charge, which will have him rushing across the arena to hit you. If you are near a wall, he will collide with it, stunning himself briefly. His second big attack is a ground pound that sends a narrow wave towards you.
Dodge this at the last second to avoid it. Don't dodge early, as the wave can turn and track you!You will also notice this boss has a bar beneath his health.

This is his rage meter. As you hit him, it will build up. If it maxes out, the boss gets a buff that greatly increases his damage, however it wears off over time, so you simply need to run around, dodging him until it dissipates.Phase Two At the beginning of phase two of the fight, the Champion will immediately buff himself, no matter where his rage meter is.
While this is active, just run around dodging his attacks. Once it wears off, the boss returns to the same attack pattern from Phase One.Phase Three During phase three, the wave attack the boss used to send towards you will now turn into razors. They travel much faster through the ground, but can't turn, so you can dodge them much easier. The boss will also likely buff himself again, so you will need to run around for several seconds until it wears off.Once it does, you can continue attacking like normal. Lure him towards walls, and stand near him so he tries meleeing, the counter attack after his combo to land the kill.

Remember that his attacks are melee only, so you can block them with a shield, however it will eat up a lot of your stamina as you block his multiple hits.
